County Durham is to be the site of a new seafood plant that is forecast to create hundreds of new jobs for the region.

The coastal town of Seaham is to be the site of the new Cumbrian Seafoods plant, which will be the size of two football pitches.
Glendawn, the shellfish and coated fish business, will move from the company's headquarters in Maryport, near Workington, to take up residence in the Seaham facility.
Once the transferral is complete, the Maryport facility will become a "centre of excellence" for smoked and fresh fish.
Sales requirements for the entire UK and across Europe will be met by the new plant.
Established in 1997, Cumbrian Seafoods provides fish products to all the major supermarket chains in the UK.
Meanwhile, the UK's only barramundi farm has been sold for £4.3 million.
The 3.64 acre site, one of the largest in Europe, was bought by Warwick
